Friends

I'm new and can't understand friends.  I have a few friends. Can I send a message to all of them at one time?
What is subscribe??  Where is my wall ?   Do I have a Fan Page?  I'm in my 70's and may have gotten in over my
head by joining but I'm willing to give it a try.

Anyone know of a video that covers the type of basic questions I'm asking??

Re: Friends

The best way to send a message to all your friends at once, is by writing a status update. When you login to facebook, click on 'What's on your mind?' on top of the page. Now you can select who can see this update. Simply choose 'friends', and all of your friends and only your friends can see this update.

'Subscribe' is a way to subscribe to someone's updates without sending a friend request. You can see everything (public) of this person in your news feed, but your updates won't show up in his news feed. This is especially when you want to see what a celebrity is up to, this way you don't have to hassle them with a friend request.

To see your wall, click on your name on the menubar, on top of the page. This is (basically) how your friends see your profile. You can see your info, past status updates, ... (maybe you already have timeline, a new feature that replaces your wall. Don't worry about the difference, it's basically the same thing, but with a little different look and some new extras)

You don't have a fan page.
