I've deleted some old status updates, but somehow other people can see them.

I noticed this issue when I got timeline. While cleaning up old stuff, I noticed that these status updates showed up when I used the 'View as...' feature. These updates aren't in my activity log, I can't see them when I open my own profile, they aren't in the "copy" of my facebook data (when you go to www.facebook.com/settings, you can see "Download a copy of your Facebook data.") and when I click on the date on any of these statuses, I get a "This content is currently unavailable" error message.
I checked my wall using my girlfriends account, and these updates really are visible (but only after publishing my timeline). Googling didn't bring up a solution, 2 detailed bug reports with several screenshots remain unanswered.

Long story short: I can't find (or delete) some status updates, yet it is obvious that my friends can see them. Is there anybody who has a similar problem or knows a solution to this?
